This collection contains fifty-one poems written over ten weeks by a storyteller who never thought of herself as a poet.
Each poem pushed the storyteller to confront memories, realities, complex relationships, and hard-to-define emotions and concepts. Each poem challenged the storyteller to step out of her comfort zone and try something she had never done before—be completely raw, vulnerable, and authentic.
Each poem is a step in the storyteller’s journey to becoming a poet—each poem, a piece of her life, written in rhyme…or not.
