Bala, the fastest tikbalang in the Kalanta tribe, can steal anything from anyone, anywhere, at any time.
Having just pulled off a major heist recovering stolen treasure from his tribe’s rivals, the Limawa, he is ready to go back to his peaceful existence just below the radar of humanity.
Unfortunately, after a thorough inventory of the treasure his team recovered, it turns out they are missing a crucial piece, a prized family heirloom, a necklace.
Bala realizes he would need to call upon a power he had sworn never to use ever again—the ability to go back in time using his speed. Together with his half-human and half-tikbalang protégé, Junjun, Bala travels back in time before the Limawa tribe steals the necklace during the Japanese occupation of the Philippines.
The operation starts out smoothly until Bala falls in love at first sight with the woman who owns the necklace.
Can Bala complete his mission of stealing the necklace so it can fulfill its purpose in the present? Or will he let his heart be stolen leading him to commit the biggest no-no of time travel: do something stupid that would alter the course of the future?
